WINTER SOLSTICE ~ A Journey Through Darkness: A Way to the Light

Posted on Dec 13th, 2008 by Kimberly : Director of The Kamlak Center Kimberly
The Kamlak Center Tackles Death.  "Putting Birth and Death Back Together Again" is exactly what Kamlak is all about.  It aims to change the way we look at death—and life—and the journey through darkness and into the light is right on point.

Kamlak presents author of The Miracle of Death, Dr. Betty J. Kovacs, who will be featured on The Spiritual Truth Radio Show for an enlightening and timely discussion about the Winter Solstice ~ The Journey Through Darkness: A Way to the Light.  Join executive producer, television reporter and spiritual journalist Margaret Wendt and her guest Dr. Betty Kovacs on December 16 for this not-to-miss show! The internet radio show will be recorded live and posted by 4PM Pacific on December 16, 2008 at http://www.margaretwendt.com

The show will remain available on the site so you may listen at your convenience.

Dr. Kovacs is a "regular" on Spiritual Truth.  She and Margaret Wendt discuss an array of topics, including coping with death, non-ordinary experiences, creating our lives in time and space, the miracle of death, Western culture’s addiction to "ordinary consciousness," Egyptian spirituality, the underside of the Wall Street story, how difficult times can nourish us, and much more.  Another timely show, recorded December 1st, entitled The Sacred Tree is Beyond Tradition is available now at The Spiritual Truth Radio Show (http://www.margaretwendt.com).

The Miracle of Death is an inspiring story of one family’s extraordinary experiences, including precognitive dreams, visions, afterdeath communications, out of body experiences, and synchronistic events, surrounding multiple deaths in their family.  The sole survivor and narrator is a Western trained academic who initially struggled to accept realities that ultimately changed every aspect of her life.  Weaving personal, historical and mythic perspectives, Dr. Kovacs shows us that such individual experiences along with cutting-edge scientific research support a radical change in the way we think about death–and life.
